What is the Health Careers Camp?
9th, 10th, and 11th grade students from eight Colorado counties: Archuleta, Dolores, Hinsdale, La Plata, Montezuma, Ouray, San Juan & San Miguel are invited to attend this week long health camp on the campus of Fort Lewis College in Durango in June. Guided by camp staff, students explore the many fields of the healthcare industry, engage in hands-on activities and meet professionals from a variety of health occupations. I would like to thank you so very much, again, for providing such a wonderful experience for my daughter. Without your camp, she would have only speculated about becoming a doctor. After experiencing the hands on and shadowing experiences your camp gave her, she knows, for sure, that she wants to become a doctor! What a wonderful goal to have at the age of 15. Although life can sometimes be uncertain, her solid goal is directly related to your camp. Thank you again, so very, very much!! -R.M., 2015
