The Annual Nightingale Luminary and STAR Awards provides an opportunity to acknowledge the amazing nurses in our region whose hard work continues to improve health through advocacy, innovation, and leadership.  We believe this recognition of nurses and the nursing profession is a critical component of attracting and retaining the best nurses in southwest Colorado.

Last year’s fundraiser and silent auction raised more than $1000 dollars for the Nightingale Community Nursing Scholarship fund. Second year nursing student, Tracey Beanland from Southwest Colorado Community College, was awarded the nursing scholarship.
Press Release here.

Fourteen people were nominated from Southwestern Colorado for the Statewide Nightingale Award ceremony to be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 in Denver. They will also be recognized at the Durango Nightingale event on March 15th.
