Amanda Harrison, Nurse Manager/Telehealth and Outreach Manager and Alex Schackel, Billing Team Lead from Pediatric Partners of the Southwest will share practical information about office processes, clinical best practices, and billing and coding from their eight years of experience offering telehealth services at Pediatric Partners of the Southwest in Durango.

What is Telehealth?
The Health Resources Services Administration defines telehealth as the use of electronic information and telecommunications technologies to support long-distance clinical health care, patient and professional health-related education, public health and health administration. Technologies include videoconferencing, the internet, store-and-forward imaging, streaming media, and wireless communications.
Telehealth is different from telemedicine because it refers to a broader scope of remote healthcare services than telemedicine. While telemedicine refers specifically to remote clinical services, telehealth can refer to remote non-clinical services, such as provider training, administrative meetings, and continuing medical education, in addition to clinical services.

We're bringing the Durango community together to help support both front-line health workers and local independent restaurants. We are implementing a program created by one of the country's foremost chefs and restaurateurs that lets the community donate meals from local restaurants to healthcare workers on the front-lines and others in need. Healthcare workers get a nourishing meal, and local restaurants get badly needed business to keep running and keep staff employed.

Executive Order aids student nurses, CNAs;

Governor Jared Polis issued Executive Order D 2020 038 on April 15, 2020, removing regulatory barriers that will provide nursing and nurse aide students in educational programs throughout Colorado avenues towards spring and summer graduation, while bolstering the ability of nurses and Certified Nurse Aides to enter or remain in the workforce.

COVID-19 Just-in-Time ECHO for Primary Care is a state-wide partnership bringing you up-to-the-minute information and answering your questions about COVID-19.
In this ongoing series offered three times a week, an interdisciplinary panel of public health, clinical, and pharmacotherapy experts will provide updates on testing locations, availability, and guidelines; debunk myths around medication management in the community; address challenges in primary care practice management (such as transitioning to telehealth); answer questions and discuss de-identified patient cases and more.Participants may join and attend sessions at any time.

The Rocky Mountain Public Health Training Center (RM-PHTC) is housed within the Center for Public Health Practice at the Colorado School of Public Health. We are one of the 10 Regional Public Health Training Centers designated by the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) to provide training to professionals addressing public health issues. The Community Health Programs Supervisor will oversee multiple Tri-County Health Network (TCHNetwork) Community Health Programs across our rural region. The Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations; developing the field team; establishing relationships with stakeholders; promoting programs; improving staff productivity; increasing client participation; and ensuring program sustainability.

It’s an exciting time for Community Health Programs. We are expanding our health food prescription program (FoodRX) in area clinics, partnering with area clinics to build a regional standard of health, replicating evidence-based practices for our Community Health Workers to use with clients, and determining new initiatives that will continue to improve the health and wellbeing of our region’s residents. We need an action-oriented, results driven professional to lead our motivated team! Salary starts at $40,000-$50,000 per year.
