Healthcare Plan Selections for 2018 Coverage
More than 43,000 Coloradans selected healthcare coverage for 2018 through the state health insurance Marketplace in November, a rate 29 percent ahead of signups one year ago, according to new data released by Connect for Health Colorado®.

Whether you are renewing or enrolling for the first time, you must complete enrollment by December 15, to have coverage January 1, and avoid a gap in your coverage. Open Enrollment runs through January 12.

San Juan Basin Public Health is hiring a Communities That Care Coordinator. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing a local community coalition aimed at preventing youth problem behaviors across La Plata County. The CTC Coordinator is tasked with using effective group facilitation skills to help guide the coalition through the CTC planning and implementation process. Duties also include facilitating meetings, recruiting and engaging key leaders and stakeholders from diverse sectors, data collection, assisting in writing grant proposals and reports, collaborating with partners and stakeholders to provide timely education, and communication regarding program initiatives. The applicant must have excellent communication skills, familiarity with local community, group facilitation skills, demonstrated ability to speak effectively and professionally in public to a variety of audiences, and demonstrated ability to form relationships with strategic partners. This position requires an Associate’s degree and two years of healthcare, public health or related experience. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. The wage for this position is $17.80-$25.81, plus benefits. Although the full salary range for this position is provided, appointments are typically made at or near the range minimum. This part time position provides administrative support to case managers orchestrating services for the elderly and disable individuals within Archuleta County. Duties also include preparing, organizing and maintaining files, responding to inquiries, referring clients to resources, conducting functional assessments for clients enter a nursing facility, as well as creating individualized service plan, and monitoring client’s services. Additional duties include; entering client information in the state database in a timely manner. The applicant must have excellent organizational skills, be able to multi-task, as well as advocate for clients. A bachelor’s degree in behavioral science is required. The wage for this position is $19.24-$27.90 an hour plus benefits. Although the full salary range for this position is provided, appointments are typically made at or near the range minimum.
