The training program, Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) is intended to be similar to a standard CPR course, which teaches non-medical professionals to assist with cardiac emergencies.
QPR is a brief (1.5 hours) gatekeeper training that teaches individuals how to support people who are experiencing suicidal thoughts while also seeking professional services.
It is an evidence-based training that teaches participants how to recognize possible signs of suicidal ideation (serious thoughts about taking one's own life), suicide plans and suicide attempts, how to talk with someone who is contemplating suicide, and how to connect with resources for the individual.
QPR instructors are available to facilitate trainings on campus and in the community.

CNA Annual Conference Postponed to February 2022
|
Colorado Nurses Association has made the difficult decision to postpone their in-person conference scheduled for October 1 & 2, 2021, at the Hilton Inverness Hotel in Englewood, Colorado, to February 25 & 26, 2022.
After weeks of discussion and considerations, the CNA Board of Directors made this decision and believes it is in the best interest of the organization.
CNA will still hold the membership meeting virtually on Saturday, October 2. Please save Saturday October 2, 2021 for the Annual Membership Assembly. Agenda and details to follow. Click here to register to attend the Membership Assembly.
