Please join us for an Executive Director Breakfast: “Diversifying Your Board” Thursday, February 22, 9:00 to 10:30 at the Ah Haa School (300 S. Townsend, Telluride)
Hosted by Kody Gerkin, Lead Intercultural Navigator at Tri-County Health Network. In our small communities, finding board members can be challenging, but attracting board members that are representative of our community demographics or our constituents can seem impossible. Join us with members of the Latinx, part-time home-ower, LGBTQ, and young adult communities, in a conversation on attracting diverse board members and the benefits of board leadership that is comprised of different perspectives.
Also, learn about a new opportunity to have a non-voting “Board Intern” participate in your board or committee meetings; participants in new community leadership programs will be encouraged to participate on a nonprofit or government board or committee to learn about board leadership as well as to provide boards an opportunity to learn from diverse perspectives.
