Colorado Updates in Public Health: COVID and Beyond is a state-wide partnership between ECHO Colorado and the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) bringing you the most relevant information on rapidly evolving public health topics including the COVID pandemic, epidemiology, state-distributed therapeutics, vaccines and more. Sessions will provide updates on COVID epidemiology and modeling, the state public health COVID response, COVID clinical diagnosis and management, and new and upcoming public health guidelines. This ongoing series is offered monthly and includes an interdisciplinary panel of public health, clinical and pharmacotherapy experts.

Motivational interviewing (MI) is a patient-centered communication technique that helps people resolve ambivalent feelings and insecurities to find the internal motivation they need to change their behavior. In this interactive online course, you will learn basic MI techniques you can use with patients to help support behavior change: open-ended questions, affirmations, reflective listening, and summarizing. No previous MI experience required.

The Community Impact Team (CIT) at the Health District of Northern Larimer County works with other community partners to create solutions to prioritized community health issues in the community. The CIT Team manages the work of the Mental Health and Substance Use Alliance (MHSU Alliance). The MHSU Alliance is a group of community leaders from about 20 organizations, along with consumers and family members, working with community partners to restructure our system of mental health services; significantly improving their responsiveness to the needs of those individuals most affected by mental health and substance use challenges in our community.
