SWCAHEC would like to welcome Cleary Wunder, our new Healthcare Projects Specialist.
Cleary Wunder, DNP, FNP-BC started her nursing career in the emergency department where she was a nurse for seven years. During that time, her passion for primary care began as she saw first-hand the social determinants of health and barriers with accessing quality healthcare. She obtained her Doctor of Nursing practice in family practice from the University of Utah. During her doctoral studies, she gained an interest in opioid use disorder and medication assisted treatment.
She was an integral part of the team at the University of Utah that started the state's first emergency department suboxone treatment model, a program that has provided suboxone and addiction treatment to thousands of patients to date.
Currently she is working for SWAHEC as their healthcare projects specialist.
In her free time, she loves exercising outdoors with her husband and two young girls.

Each week this month, we are sharing stories from our nurses on our social media platforms. We also just launched a new webpage dedicated to our nursing programs, including nurse loan repayment, scholarship, and grant training information.
