The Communications Specialist works with program and emergency response staff to develop communications materials such as talking points, media advisories, articles, announcements, documents, marketing materials, and creative/media assets; adheres to the related policies and procedures; assists in the production of strategic messaging; maintains external media and partner relationships; and supports the Director of Communications. A Bachelor's degree in communications, graphic design, public relations, public health or related field and one year of related communications experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above are required. San Juan Basin Public Health (SJBPH) is hiring a full-time Dental Hygienist. This position oversees the SJBPH Oral Health Project, which includes coordinating school-based and telehealth-based oral health services in the SJBPH catchment area, performing and documenting school-based oral health screenings and preventive dental services, providing age-appropriate dental education to students, and referring for follow up services, as needed. The incumbent participates in community outreach events, dental navigation to support community members in securing a dental home and facilitates a local coalition for oral health care providers to identify and respond to gaps in access to high quality, affordable oral health care services. An associate degree in dental hygiene and one year of related dental hygiene experience is required. Applicants must also have State of Colorado Dental Hygiene and CPR certifications.
