The Colorado Governor Polis and Lt. Governor Primavera have an ambitious goal to reduce health care costs while ensuring culturally responsive and equitable access to care. Part of that work includes the Office of Saving People Money on Health Care as the cornerstone of our efforts to reduce the cost of healthcare for Coloradans and is overseen by Lt. Governor Primavera. The work includes reducing patient costs for hospital stays and expenses, improving price transparency, lowering the price of prescription drugs, and making health insurance more affordable.

This course will empower women and men in medicine with the skills and resources to remove barriers and bias of women in leadership positions specific to the challenges in healthcare. Leaders in business and healthcare will present evidence-based strategies to promote professional development and enhance personal well-being. Nationally, there is large number of female clinicians reporting burnout which has a potential effect on patient experience, compliance and outcomes.

Description of Responsibilities:

Provision of medical health services to patients of the clinic, according to established clinic protocols. Participates and collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive integrated health care services. Consults with staff as necessary regarding clinical interventions for achieving quality patient outcomes. Duties will be tied to the privilege granted to the practitioner by the medical staff.

The Colorado Nurses Association (CNA) is a non-profit membership organization representing the interests of all registered nurses in the state of Colorado. CNA's vision is to be the unifying voice for nursing in Colorado to positively influence the future of healthcare. The Association’s strategic priorities include advancing the role of the registered nurse through advocacy and empowering the practice of nursing to enhance access to quality and safe health care for all Coloradans. The Executive Director is the voice and face of CNA's mission, vision and goals to the public, community partners, legislators, and membership. The Executive Director will report directly to the CNA Board of Directors and will manage the day-to-day operations of the CNA office and staff. The five key areas of responsibilities include: leadership and management; financial and legal; communications; advocacy and engagement; and membership and development. Graduate education required, with executive leadership experience, or management experience in a healthcare organization or healthcare membership association. Registered nurse preferred.
