Training in Patient Navigation with Cancer Support Community Southwest!
Cancer Support Community Southwest Colorado is offering a digital patient navigation training. Using a national program called the Digital Sherpa™ program for the Patient Empowerment Network, this training aims to help cancer patients and their families become more tech-savvy. The program educates patients in basic internet and social media skills to empower them to become more knowledgeable and proactive in managing their disease. Cancer Support Community Southwest is implementing this program in-person, via a 4-hour workshop.

Improving Blood Lead Testing and Reporting in Colorado's Children
|
Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention: Improving Blood Lead Testing and Reporting in Colorado’s Children is a new ECHO series designed to increase blood lead testing and reporting rates of providers across Colorado. This four-session series is designed for primary care providers who serve Medicaid and at-risk patients. Participants will learn about the common sources of lead in Colorado, how to screen patients and care for children with elevated blood lead levels. In addition to didactic teaching, each session offers case study scenarios and in-depth examinations of real-life situations that will be analyzed and discussed.

OPEN POSITION: Executive Director
The San Miguel Resource Center’s (SMRC) Executive Director is responsible for the overall management and continued success of the organization: this position reports directly to the Board of Directors, oversees all programs and staff, and manages the annual budget. The ideal candidate will excel in mission fulfillment, leadership, fundraising, and relationship building. The Executive Director will work closely with the board, staff, and volunteers to achieve SMRC’s mission to empower and advocate for individuals affected by domestic violence and sexual assault.

The Executive Director position is full time, based in our Telluride office, has a salary range of $90,000-$100,000 and comes with a comprehensive, 100% employer paid benefits package and excellent PTO (130 hours vacation, 10 holidays and 48 hours of sick time)
