Colorado reduced its gender wage gap more than three times faster than the rest of the U.S. since 2021. California and Washington, which followed Colorado’s lead and passed pay transparency laws in 2023, are seeing similar results. Read the full article.

Southwestern Colorado AHEC is providing a livestream of the JJ Cohen Mini Med School sessions at the Commons Building, Suite 219 in Durango, Colorado, for people of all ages! Participants are also given the ZOOM information to join independently.

This series is an overview of essential topics in adolescent reproductive health. The series focuses on the importance of person-centered care when caring for young people. Content of includes taking an adolescent health history, minor consent and confidentiality, sexually transmitted infections, menstrual periods, contraception and strategies for addressing common concerns and side effects of contraceptive methods.


Nurses and other health professionals who work with adolescents and provide care and counseling on reproductive health concerns.
If you are a prescribing provider (NP, PA, CNM, MD, DO) please do not register for this series. The next cohort for prescribing providers will be offered in Fall 2024.

CARE Network New Provider Training

The Kempe Child Abuse Response and Education (CARE) Network is a program to improve local access to quality evaluations and behavioral health screenings for children under 6 years old with a concern of physical abuse/neglect and children under 13 years old with concern of sexual abuse.

Applications are now being accepted to join the CARE Network Annual Conference and Training and is free for those who join!

Senior Evaluation & Learning Manager

Evaluation & learning staff work with colleagues to assess the impact of the foundation’s charitable giving, providing accessible and actionable data through robust evaluation design to support learning, inform future grantmaking decisions, and contribute to The Colorado Trust’s strategic direction. Evaluation & learning staff partner closely with colleagues and grantees to meet the evaluation and research needs of the organization and its initiatives. The senior evaluation & learning manager executes and implements mixed-methods evaluation plans and analyses, reports on findings, and serves as a lead for evaluation efforts. This position will work from The Colorado Trust office in Denver at least two days per week and remotely for the remainder, with expectations of being present at in-person meetings and events as requested. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, but priority consideration will be given to those received by 5 p.m. MST on April 1, 2024.
