We’ll enjoy a relaxed ride along the trail to the Hudson Gardens, and then loop back expecting to wrap up by lunchtime.
We encourage you to invite others that want to enjoy the beautiful bike trails for a life-changing cause. We’re requesting a $35 donation to participate as treatment costs have risen in conjunction with broader inflation issues. If you’re unable to join us in person, then we welcome your donation contributions and possibly do your own ride the same day as a sign of remote support!

Diabetes and Hypertension Care Using Telehealth
and Remote Monitoring Technologies

The goal of this series is to provide updates and practical guidance on the use of telehealth tools and programming in diabetes, hypertension and high blood cholesterol management. The three-session series will provide practical information on incorporating remote patient monitoring (RPM) in your practice, including the use of continuous glucose monitors (CGM) and self-measured blood pressure (SMBP) monitoring. This series will also include components of telehealth policy and reimbursement, and how COVID-19 has impacted change in these areas. Learn from experts in the field on how to incorporate these tools into your practice in order to gain confidence and improve care for your patients.

Professionals who provide care for patients with diabetes, CVD and/or high blood pressure in Colorado (MD, DO, NP, PA, RN, RDN, PharmD, etc.)

Three weekly ECHO sessions held virtually
Wednesdays 12:00 - 1:00 PM MT
August 17 - 31
Join us at 8 a.m. on Thursday, August 25 to discover what we’ve learned about the need for culturally responsive health care in Colorado and how it’s associated with better health outcomes and more positive experiences with the health care system.

No two people have the same needs and experiences when they visit a doctor. Characteristics like language, cultural identity, sexual orientation, and previous experience with trauma can all shape a person’s health care needs. These barriers, combined with issues related to health literacy, contribute to health disparities such as poor general and mental health status.

Identifying and Treating Tremor, Parkinson's and Chorea

As our population ages, so does the prevalence of neurodegenerative disease like Parkinson’s Disease (PD), which is responsible for nearly three million disability adjusted life years globally and this has been increasing rapidly since the early 1990s. This series will introduce participants to quick exam techniques to assess tremor and rapidly narrow your differential diagnosis. You will also learn about treatment basics in PD and when to refer. The series will cover reliable recognition and differential diagnosis of chorea, including many medical and metabolic causes, and will highlight the most common genetic cause of chorea, Huntington’s Disease (HD), as well as effective new treatments for chorea. Case-based discussion will illustrate common psychiatric problems and treatments in those with PD and HD.
