PFAS: INFORMATION AND GUIDANCE FOR HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS
Per and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a class of approximately 12,000 human-made substances that are ubiquitous in both environmental and biological matrices. PFAS are bioaccumulative, persistent and have been linked to health effects at very low levels. Recently, the EPA proposed legally enforceable levels for PFAS in drinking water. If passed, the new standards will require public water systems to test for PFAS, likely increasing patient concerns around exposure and associated health effects. As the science continues to develop, providing clinical guidance to patients will require shared, informed decision-making.
|
Colorado health care providers (MD, DO, APP, RN, etc.) interested in the impact of PFAS on health outcomes
Schedule: Wednesday, April 5, 5:00 PM MT OR Thursday, April 6, 12:00 PM MT
