Blueprints of Hope presents Lifting the Fog-Navigating the Impact of Cancer Treatments on Memory, Thinking and Attention (as part of our 2018 Cancer Wellness Workshop Series)
Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 9-1pm at in the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church 2917 Aspen Drive, Durango.
We will be hosting three guest speakers, each discussing the cognitive effects of cancer treatments and what survivors can do to improve their cognition. Survivors and caregivers are invited to attend.

Tribal Liaison for Behavioral Health
The position will represent the Office of Behavioral Health on interagency efforts aimed at improving the health and wellness of American Indian and Alaskan Native populations. This will assure that the efforts of OBH to improve access and effectiveness of behavioral health services for this population are aligned with that of the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing and their Regional Accountable Entities (RAEs), as well as the Lieutenant Governor's Office and the Colorado Commission on Indian Affairs. This position will be knowledgeable about the two tribes in Colorado, the Southern Ute Indian Tribe and the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, and will offer liaison services between the Indian Health Medical Centers in Towaoc and Ignacio and the Tribal Health Medical Center in Denver and the behavioral health providers delivering care to shared members. This person will manage communications, provider training, cross-departmental coordination, and policy support for tribal affairs related to the public behavioral health system.

Primary location: (Denver, La Plata, Montezuma, San Juan, Dolores, San Miguel, Archuleta, Mineral, Hinsdale, Ouray, or remote locations in Colorado will be considered to better serve the needs of this population)

We are looking for a full-time Education Advocate position starting August 2018. The primary purpose of the Education Advocate is to represent the rights and interests of individuals ages birth to 21 with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families/guardians in obtaining services and supports. The education advocate monitors supports and services to persons with I/DD in La Plata, Montezuma, Archuleta, Dolores, and San Juan Counties and initiates and promotes quality services for persons with I/DD.
