Tribal Opioid Response Grants
|
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is accepting applications for fiscal year (FY) 2018 Tribal Opioid Response grants (Short Title: TOR). The program aims to address the opioid crisis in tribal communities by increasing access to culturally appropriate and evidence-based treatment, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT) using one of the three FDA-approved medications for the treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD). The intent is to reduce unmet treatment need and opioid overdose related deaths through the provision of prevention, treatment and/or recovery activities for OUD.

This position will provide home visits to women and their families eligible for the Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) program. Nurses adhere to the NFP model of home visitation and nursing process guidelines, develop therapeutic relationships utilizing concepts of reflection and motivational interviewing, assess physical, emotional, social and environmental needs, goals and outcomes of clients relative the NFP program, and follow the nursing process in implementing NFP into Nursing practice. Applicant must be a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado. BSN required. Minimum of two years experience in maternal/child health or public health. Must have CPR certification. This position pays $24.51 to $36.77 per hour. Although the full salary range for this position is provided, appointments are typically made at or near the range minimum.
