COURSE OBJECTIVE: This 3-part series will provide you with personalized consulting and peer review of a current grant application in a workshop setting. Each session will focus on a different element of the Common Grant Application (CGA). This includes narrative, goals & objectives and grant attachments. This course is intended for nonprofit professionals that work in a development capacity and have an active grant application. Participants will have the opportunity to get direct feedback during the class and revise their proposals between sessions.

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is accepting applications for fiscal year (FY) 2019 Nurse Faculty Loan Program (NFLP). The purpose of this program is to increase the number of qualified nursing faculty. The program provides funds to accredited schools of nursing so these institutions can offer loans to students in advanced education nursing degree programs. Upon graduation, in exchange for full-time employment as nurse faculty, the program will pay off 85 percent off the faculty member’s loans.

The Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) is responsible for providing high quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment, psychological diagnosis, treatment planning, group therapy, individual therapy, and discharge planning. The BHP is expected to function as a member of the multidisciplinary team and participate in the unit's community relations program. Addressing the needs of the students and participates in crisis intervention.

San Juan Basin Public Health is hiring an Environmental Health Specialist. This position may perform inspections and investigations in the areas of food safety, childcare facilities, schools, public swimming pools, hazardous and solid waste, on-site wastewater systems, radon, water quality, and other areas as assigned. Specialists conduct inspections, investigate complaints, review plans, prepare reports, and provide community outreach. This position will primarily be assigned to the SJBPH office in Pagosa Springs. A bachelor’s degree in a physical, biological, sanitary, or environmental science and one year of health inspections experience is preferred. The wage for this position is $19.24 to $27.90 an hour plus benefits. Although the full salary range for this position is provided, appointments are typically made at or near the range minimum.
