Did You Know?

Every year SWCAHEC sponsors the San Juan Basin Regional Science Fair which was held February 25th in Durango. The Science Fair inspires and equips community youth to be the innovators of the future. A big congratulations to Kylie Guiles, this year's winner of SWCAHEC's Health Careers Institute scholarship.

Kylie’s project: Creating Crosslinking Compounds to Cure Cancer made waves in the community as she was also selected to participate in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Phoenix, competing against 1,800 students from about 80 different countries. Read the Durango Herald Article - Mancos high-schooler competes in international science fair.

Care Coordination Collaborative SWCAHEC

The Care Coordination Collaborative Meeting
March 4 at 3:30-4:30pm

Zoom link: https://ucdenver.zoom.us/j/144496479

As an agency, SWCAHEC recognizes the vital role that you play in increasing the wellness of Southwestern Colorado. You generously collaborate with healthcare organizations, medical practices, and community organizations to provide the most comprehensive care to patients and clients in our region. As a capacity building organization, we would like to support you by providing high quality and meaningful training and coaching opportunities. To this end, we would like to convene a Care Coordination Collaborative to provide the opportunity to discuss what kinds of continuing education will most effectively facilitate your practice. These meetings will allow you to discuss the issues that you face in providing care, and to brainstorm about opportunities that provide knowledge and strategies to address these issues.
The first Care Coordination Collaborative Meeting will be held on March 4th at 3:30 PM. Our meeting will be both in person, and via ZOOM. Our SWCAHEC office is located at 701 Camino del Rio in the Commons Building in suite 320. Our initial meeting will give participants an opportunity to discuss common issues and identify education and training needs. Please R.S.V.P to [email protected]
