The Health Resources and Services Administration's (HRSA) Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (FORHP) has a new Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP) initiative called RCORP-Medication-Assisted Treatment Expansion (HRSA-19-102). HRSA plans to invest approximately $8 million in rural communities as part of this funding opportunity.

Successful RCORP-Medication-Assisted Treatment Expansion (MAT Expansion) award recipients will receive up to $725,000 for a three-year period of performance to establish or expand medication-assisted treatment (MAT) in eligible hospitals, health clinics, or tribal organizations located in high-risk rural communities.

San Juan Basin Public Health is hiring a Public Health Nurse Home Visitor. This position will provide home visits to women and their families eligible for the Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) program. Nurses adhere to the NFP model of home visitation and nursing process guidelines, develop therapeutic relationships utilizing concepts of reflection and motivational interviewing, assess physical, emotional, social and environmental needs, goals and outcomes of clients relative to the NFP program, and follow the nursing process in implementing NFP into nursing practice. Applicant must be a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado, BSN required. Minimum of two years’ experience in maternal/child health or public health is required. Applicants must have CPR certification. The wage range for this position is $24.51 to $36.77 per hour, plus benefits. Although the full salary range for this position is provided, appointments are typically made at or near the range minimum.
