June is Men’s Health Month.

Generally, adult men in the United States visit primary care providers at lower rates than adult women. One reason men disregard their own health is that they’re too busy taking care of everyone else. Establishing baselines for factors such as blood pressure, cholesterol, weight, and PSA (a screening test for prostate cancer risk)—and monitoring how they change over time—will enable the provider to catch potentially dangerous conditions early, when they’re still treatable.

Gov. Jared Polis signs bills that will continue fight against opioid crisis
New measures will boost prevention efforts and treatment and recovery services

Months of hard work at the State Capitol culminated with Gov. Jared Polis signing six bills that will give Colorado more resources to fight the opioid epidemic and address substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery support services.

The governor signed six bills related to substance use treatment and mental health during a signing ceremony on May 23. The ceremony was at Sobriety House, a drug and alcohol treatment center in Denver.

The Nurse shall meet the following requirements:
  • BS Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current license and certification required by the State of Colorado to practice as a Registered Nurse and Colorado Department of Education School Nurse; Certification upon employment or within 12 months of employment if new graduate or
  • A registered nurse who completed RN training in an associate degree program and must be enrolled in an approved BSN program and provide evidence of continuing enrollment in the program which will meet the requirements for a school nurse and must complete the program within three years. While in the BSN program you must obtain a TEE authorization through the Colorado Department of Education under the supervision of a Colorado professionally licensed person in the same discipline
  • Current Basic Life Support certification and knowledge of AED use
  • Maintain and enhance a current level of knowledge relative to professional practice, as well as continuing education requirements necessary for licensure

CLIENT SERVICES MANAGER:
The primary emphasis of this role is on providing leadership to employees and ensuring a high standard of excellence and client satisfaction. This position is responsible for the smooth operation of designated region,which will include Ignacio, Durango and North NM.
