By popular request, this training will offer providers the legal requirements for verifying disability and writing a letter for patients with regards to the following:

1) Housing accommodations including a need for an "emotional support" animal

2) Legal requirements for service dogs and how they different from an emotional support animal

3) Letters for an employer when someone needs a reasonable accommodation on the job

We will also cover the conversation about applying for disability (SSI/SSDI/Private Disability) and areas to consider when determining if you will support an application.

We will cover the law as well as common issues that come up in these situations. We will also share best practice language and decision trees.

What is the program?

The purpose of this program is to provide support to entities providing health care, health care providers associations, and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), taking into consideration the needs of rural and medically underserved communities, to establish, enhance, or expand evidence informed or evidenced-based programs or protocols to promote resilience, mental health, and wellness among their providers, other personnel, and members, collectively known as the “Health Workforce.”

Endocrinology and Diabetes for Adult Primary Care


This comprehensive weekly ECHO series will cover endocrine and diabetes issues commonly encountered in the adult primary care setting. The series will cover a wide array of topics including new developments in Type 2 Diabetes, managing insulin therapy, anti-obesity pharmacotherapy, hyperthyroidism, hypercalcemia management, osteoporosis and more. This ECHO series aims to help primary care physicians and providers handle common urologic conditions. Topics covered include common acute and emergent issues in adult and pediatric urology, genitourinary cancers, disorders of the bladder, prostate, and urethra such as BPH, incontinence, and neurogenic bladder, and other tips and insights from experts into prevalent urologic conditions.

San Juan Basin Public Health is hiring a part-time Facilities Technician. This person will perform basic building maintenance work such as installing light bulbs, furniture set-up and repair, room arrangement, basic plumbing, painting, snow/ice removal and general grounds maintenance; perform basic duties essential to maintaining fleet vehicles, including scheduling, and transporting vehicles for regular service; perform basic custodial activities. Incumbents also contract and monitor the work of contracted maintenance services and reviews invoices for payment. Basic knowledge of office phone systems and standard business suite software required. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule. The qualifications for the position are two years of experience in a similar role and valid state driver's license with clean driving record. San Juan Basin Public Health (SJBPH) is hiring a Senior Programs Manager for the COVID-19 - Communicable Disease Division. This position will lead and supervise the Disease Investigation and Control (DIC) team and manage the daily operations, including oversight of complex and/or high-risk cases. The incumbent will work with the team to implement new or changing guidance from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and/or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), act as a liaison between the SJBPH contact tracing team and CDPHE, and assist the COVID-19 division director with daily operations. The qualifications for this position are a Bachelor's degree in public health, nursing, social work, human services, or related field and five years of human services or public health programs related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation are required.
