Studies have shown that social isolation negatively impacts health. Social needs screening in Southwestern Colorado reveal that community members in our region also struggle with loneliness and feeling disconnected from others. November 2019 showed the highest rates of social isolation of the year and data from September and October 2020 show increasing rates of reported social isolation.

Reaching out to others in a safe way this holiday season is important for our physical and mental health. Visit CHAC La Plata to learn about Connectedness.
