SJBPH CONTINUES TO DISTRIBUTE AT-HOME COVID-19 RAPID TESTS
The SJBPH COVID Response Team was involved in early conversations with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment about equitable distribution of tests to hard-to-reach populations as well as to the general public. SJBPH continues to support these efforts by encouraging community members to access community test sites, local pharmacies, and to take advantage of free rapid tests available at both SJBPH offices.

NEWS UPDATE

Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra has formally extended the Public Health Emergency (PHE). The PHE can be extended for up to 90 days at a time. This extension started April 16, 2022 and if extended a full 90 days, runs through July 15, 2022. The Biden administration has indicated there will be a 60-day notice period before any end to the PHE. The state has not yet received notice the PHE will end.

This position is responsible for performing community-wide outreach and program promotion in support of contracts. Successful applicants will have experience in project planning; facilitating and coordinating task forces and/or coalitions to engage and organize community members involvement in local public health initiatives; collaborating with partners and stakeholders to provide timely education and communication regarding program initiatives; providing trainings and technical assistance to community stakeholders to build their capacity to engage in initiatives through understanding of community organizing, sustainability and equity concepts; supporting required monthly reporting and program evaluation for funders and internal needs; utilizing data collection tools and methodologies for program analysis; evaluation and monitoring program data and risk indicators to assess conditions; and assisting in writing grant proposals, concept papers and other materials to obtain funding. An associate’s degree and two years of healthcare, public health or related experience is required. A Bachelor's degree or experience with community organizing preferred.
Benefits for exempt employees and non-exempt employees, 80% or more, are Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Flexible Spending Account, Employee Assistance Program, Wellness Program, Paid Time Off, Retirement Plan, Life Insurance and Supplemental Insurance. SUMMARY OF POSITION: This is a professional level counseling/therapy position for treatment of juvenile youth and their families using a multisystemic approach. MST training will be provided.

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA:
These are the most significant performance factors involved with this position and they will be the principal factors on which the employee will be evaluated:

1. Conduct MST assessment to include, but not limited to:
· Review of referral information
· Identifying and engaging key participants
· Identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses
· Developing an analysis of the fit of problem behaviors within the ecological context.
2. Engage primary caregiver and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement.
3. Implement a problem conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention, outcome review and strategy revision procedure using the MST Analytic Process.
4. Maintain clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts that promotes peer and supervisory review and feedback. While demonstrating compliance with the 9 MST Principles and the MST Analytic Process.
5. Show ownership of and works with clinical team to ensure program is meeting targets as outlined by MST model and funding contracts.
6. Collaborate with all relevant systems and key participants within each system to ensure their buy-in and cooperation throughout MST treatment.
7. Provide direct clinical treatment using methods compatible with MST principles and practices.
8. Participates in all MST training, supervision and consultation activities in a manner that supports professional development and team growth.
9. Represents Peaceful Spirit and SoCoCAA within our communities in such a way that reflect professionalism and commitment to quality.
10. Supports the development of a positive culture for the MST team and Peaceful Spirit as a whole.
11. Perform other related duties as assigned by the MST Supervisor or Division Director.
