Patient Navigation 101 Training on Hereditary Cancer

As a Patient Navigator, your unique position within the medical team allows you to build relationships with at-risk clients, guiding them through hereditary cancer screening. The upcoming modules will provide an overview of hereditary cancer, enhance communication skills, strengthen barrier-addressing skills, and support implementation within your organization.

Connect for Health Colorado is a health insurance marketplace for Coloradans. Their mission is to expand access, affordability and choice for individuals purchasing health insurance in the state. Enroll in a plan by December 15 for coverage that starts on January 1, 2024.

Rocky Mountain Public Health Training Center (RM-PHTC) will award 27 students in higher education $3,500 in financial support to assist with public health focused field placements and faculty-student collaborative projects.

The goal of this program is to increase the supply and diversity of the public health workforce in the Rocky Mountain Region, specifically in underserved communities and populations by supporting students conducting applied public health projects and providing opportunities for mentoring and professional development. This program is funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

Hepatitis C: Treatment and Elimination
The 16-week series covers diagnosis, screening and treatment of chronic Hepatitis B and C, Cirrhosis and its complications, and Hepatocellular Carcinoma. Other topics include prevention of transmission and re-infection, assessing fibrosis and cirrhosis, designing a team-based care approach to hepatitis C treatment, recognizing liver-related complications and more.

Primary care teams including prescribing clinicians, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, nurse care managers, behavioral health specialists, administrators and quality improvement specialists
