Perinatal Mental Health:
An Interdisciplinary Approach


This ECHO series supports clinicians who care for pregnant patients in the evaluation and treatment of common mental health conditions and substance use disorders presenting in the perinatal period. Facilitated by a multidisciplinary team including obstetrician gynecologists, perinatal psychiatrists and psychologists, each session will include a brief presentation by an expert followed by interactive Q&A and discussion. Participants will gain confidence and knowledge in addressing the perinatal mental health needs of their patients while building connections with their peers.

San Juan Basin Public Health is hiring an Environmental Health Specialist I/II position devoted to performing inspections and investigations in one or more areas of food safety, wastewater systems, childcare facilities, schools, public swimming pools, water and air quality, hazardous and solid waste, zoonocies, communicable disease and other related areas. Incumbents, as assigned, conduct compliance inspections; review applications, plans and designs; write reports and document activities; investigate complaints; determine areas of non-compliance; recommend a course of action; assist in the resolution of issues; conduct sampling; and assist in epidemiological and zoonotic investigations. Position will be hired as Environmental Health Specialist I or II dependent on qualifications. In addition to the above, Environmental Health Specialist IIs serve as an expert in one or more areas of environmental health; perform complex and high-profile investigations and inspections; provide mentorship to other specialists and SJBPH staff; demonstrate leadership within the Environmental Health Division; resolve issues; and conduct training for the public. At this level, incumbents are expected to accomplish their work with minimal supervision, utilizing their knowledge, experience and independent judgment. The qualifications for these position are as follows; (for EHS I) a bachelor's degree in physical, biological, sanitary, or environmental science and one year of related experience, and (for EHS II) a Bachelor's degree in a physical, biological, sanitary, or environmental science and three years of related experience, or (for both) a combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. This position is scheduled to close 8/28/2023, or when an adequate pool is reached. The hiring range for this position is $20.47 to $23.76 an hour. Salary: $53,040 - $57,720 depending upon licensing and experience FLSA
