The Southwestern Colorado Area Health Education Center Career Exploration Program will host monthly workshops to inspire high school students in rural and underserved areas to become health care professionals.

Workshops will take place every other Wednesday from 5:30pm to 7pm, either in-person at The Commons, 701 Camino del Rio, Suite 320, or via Zoom live-stream video conferencing.  Workshop topics are subject to change.

These workshops will be offered:

Jan. 29: Health care careers: Discovering opportunities and shaping goals.

Feb. 12: Medical terminology 101.

Feb. 26: Thinking about anatomy and physiology.

March 11: Diagnosis: Thinking like a health care professional.

March 25: Spring break – no workshop.

April 8: Community Health Youth Advisory Board: Health leadership and advocacy.

April 22: Our health ecosystem.

May 6: Outbreak: Public health and you.
